Quality Support Assistant
Our client John Thompson & Sons Ltd are currently recruiting for a Quailty Support Assistant based at the site in Belfast. This is a temporary role and will initially last for a 6 month period.
As a Quality Support Assistant you will a direct impact on the success of the company through carrying out relevant Quality Assurance duties to ensure ongoing maintenance of the company quality systems
Experience, Qualifications and Skills ……..
Essential
• At least 1 years administrative experience in an office / quality / laboratory environment
• Experience in the use of Windows based computer packages
• The candidate should hold at least 5 O’Level / GCSE passes at Grade C or above including English, Mathematics and Science – or be able to demonstrate equivalent levels of knowledge
• Able to communicate effectively within the team
• Able to plan and work to deadlines
• Capable of solving problems
• Self motivated
• Capable of working on own initiative
• Capable of working in a team environment
• Pays close attention to detail
• A flexible approach to work is required
Desirable
• Educated to A’Level or equivalent standard
• Trained and experienced in ISO Internal Auditing or equivalent
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintenance and review of relevant documentation in relation to – QMS, EMS, HACCP, H&S, & RM Specifications
• Internal audits are carried out for QMS, HACCP, EMS & Laboratory controls, in line with audit schedule
• Internal audits are accurately written up and issued on a timely basis
• Q-Pulse documentation is updated and maintained
• Assistance in checking vet scripts for compliance with legislation, dosage rates, product licences number, species, withdrawal periods and signatures
• Assistance in carrying out dispensary duties
• Sampling for monthly testing is carried out in line with schedule as required and sampling records are updated and maintained
• Assisting in the generation and issue of weekly specifications
• Assisting in the review of specifications for trends; and feedback is given to the laboratory and nutrition on a timely basis
• Environmental swabbing is carried out as required
• Contribution to the Quality Team in general regarding continuous improvement and development activities
• All housekeeping activities are adhered to
• Production of weekly, monthly , annual and ad hoc records and reports as required
• All company policy is complied with and supported
• All Health & safety procedures are adhered to
• Personal training and development needs are identified with supervisor
• All relevant training is attended
• Induction, company training and appraisal is supported as required
• Any other duties are carried out as appropriate
Salary, Hours of work
• Salary is £17,798 pa (pro rata)
• Hours of work will be 39 per week, average, 0800 -1630 Monday through Friday with 2 hours of flexitime per fortnight.
