Meat Trader
Our client, Foyle Meats is part of the Foyle Food group of Companies. Currently they require an individual to undertake the role of Meat Trader. The successful candidate will be based at Foyle Meats although the job will involve travel between sites and may require travel abroad.
This is an opportunity to join an expanding, leading edge red meat processing Company, to undertake meat trade sales for beef and lamb products at this established site.
To be considered for the position of Meat Trader you must have the following experience…
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience within the red meat sector
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of key contacts within the red meat sector in UK, Ireland and EU
- Use of a vehicle and have a clean driving licence
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Vision and determination to identify and develop new opportunities for red meat products

Key Purpose
- To trade beef and lamb products within the parameters set out by the Operational Board
- Manage stock rotation of beef and lamb products
- Ensure orders are fulfilled to meet with customers expectations
- Ensure prompt payment of debts according to payment terms
- To establish new customer contacts, research new / alternative market opportunities within the UK, Ireland and Europe / World
- Develop regular weekly and monthly reports on key accounts, stock levels and new customer research
- Liaise with logistics to plan deliveries and to ensure delivery times are adhered to
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Driven:
The position will require you to strive to exceed the needs of internal and external customers by producing and developing quality products, services and information. You will trade beef and Lamb products within the agreed FFG credit insurance protocol and you will be responsible for the full collection of your customer debt’s due to Foyle Meats.
