Motor Engineer Technical Assistant

Our Client, Prestige Underwriting Services Ltd, are currently recruiting for a Motor Engineer Technical Assistant to provide valuations, control repair costs and conduct technical investigations following a motor vehicle accident. Due to continued expansion Prestige are making a significant investment in local talent by centralising their operation in their new offices in Belfast City and would like to welcome highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join their dynamic company.

As a Motor Engineer Technical Assistant you will complete the following duties:

• Provide accurate valuations with the aid of Glass’s Guide and market research
• Provide technical information support for claims and underwriting departments
• Agree and control repair costs
• Act as a reference point for quality and safety issues
• Produce comprehensive and detailed Audatex estimates
• Conduct technical investigations
• Maintain FSA compliance at all times

What skills and experience must the Motor Engineer Technical Assistant possess….

• Minimum four years experience working within an accident repair centre
• In-depth knowledge of construction and repair methods of motor vehicles covering mechanical, body and paint damage
• Understanding of vehicle disposal
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong negotiating skills

If you are competent in the use of computerised estimation systems it would certainly be considered advantageous.
